I wanted to find out different kind of contents pages from music magazine and when I saw this one it looked so different to the ones I have seen before, this was the first time I have seen this kind of contents page and it looks all crazy that made me like it, because it is not like other contents pages it is totally different that makes it stand out. the style of pictures they have used are different and not normal they are totally crazy and mad that makes the pictures look really good, and by the kind of pictures they use you can tell what kind of magazine it is. by looking at different magazine make you interested because they are all different and they all hove their own style. this style looks like death and anger, you can tell this by the kind of colours they have used and the kind of picture they have put up. even in this contents page it still has got colour in it. the layout looks different and the information tells you what kind of song they are playing. the layout is good because they have not got to much information in it, but it has got the main information that they need. in this contents page they have not used a lot of colours because they want to so the people who this contents page is not the same as others and that they want it to look different, crazy and mad. this magazines what to be out of this world not the same as other things they want to be a new style and funky and scary way. the pictures that they have used are trying to tell you, you dare listen to this music it makes you feel scared and that it is not in this world. I think this is a really good contents page and I really like it because it is not the same as others, the font they have used are totally different it look mad and they have kept with one kind of theme and not got to many things going on at once. this contents page does get your eye of the sharp background colour and the darkness of the picture.
This is another contents page that I did research about, this is different and people like magazine like this, in the magazine they have got a date and you only get a few contents pages that have got dates in the contents page. there are not a lot of magazines that have got a date in the contents page and this is the first magazine with the date in the contents page, so it is different. The title is big and bold this is reinforcing to the magazine cover you can tell this is a title because it is big and bold and it stands out, the title is plan black it has not got any colour to it, but I think it is good because it does stand out and the font they used made the heading stand out. Next to the heading there is a little picture that goes with the heading. They also used different coloured box to make the magazine content page look different and also make it have a bit of colour in it, so it does not look plan and boring. They have use small pictures on the contents page with numbers on them, so people who are fans can just got to that page and find out information about the band and look at different pictures of the band, they sometimes have posters in a bigger size for a poster that you can keep.
Double page spread
This is another double page spread that I did research on; this magazine double page spread is also interesting. The style of the heading makes the whole page stand out and the heading goes well with the picture. The picture takes half of the double page spread and the picture does not look to colourful it looks simple and the picture is a little eye caching, there are not too many colours in this double page spread. Also there is not a lot of information on the page but you could take a lot of information on what the magazine might be about by looking at the picture and the way it has been set out. There are not a lot of colours going on in the double page spread there are just simple colours so there is not a lot going on in the page. They have used colours that go well together like black, white and red.
This is a double page spread; I found this double page spread on the internet once I saw this page the magazine looks interesting. The back ground colour is dark and black but it makes the picture stand out more and even the little picture that got the light shining on it. The way this magazine has been set out is really interesting because they have got one big picture on the left that takes up one page and on the left they have got a little picture with a big heading and information under the heading and the picture. The colour contrast goes well with the way the writing on the magazine has been set out, because the theme colour of this magazine is Black, Gold and white. Even the guy in the magazine is wearing the same colours as the magazine because he is wearing a black jumper with gold writing on there and a gold watch and a white top under the jumper. The back ground of the magazine is black and the write on the magazine are white and black. So this magazine has not gone over the top with colours they have picked simple and colours that go really well with one and another. The magazine does not look over the top with information and with pictures and ever the colours they have not got random colours everywhere. They have thought really well on how they set out the layout and the colours.
